Chapter 524 - 523: Please Give the Two Children Another Chance

Chapter 524 - 523: Please Give the Two Children Another Chance

Bea listened to her mother speak this way and couldn’t help but tug her fingers under the table, signaling with her eyes.

Mrs. Sinclair held her hand down, forbidding her from speaking.

Aunt Sienna was about to speak when the waiter brought the tea, so she held back and only spoke after the waiter left: "Mrs. Sinclair, don’t you think it’s extremely unfair to hold past generations’ grievances against Bella?"

"The debts of the father are paid by the son. This has been the saying since ancient times." Mrs. Sinclair’s face turned colder by a few degrees. "If you came to me today just for this matter, then we have no reason to continue talking."

Saying this, she stood up to leave.

"Mom." Bea held onto her.

Mrs. Sinclair held her chin up, refusing to relent. She had considered the prospect of fulfilling her son’s wish, even if it meant having him not bring Bella Acker to The Sinclair Family, she’d pretend she was unaware of Bella’s existence. But now that she knew, how could she pretend not to?

She couldn’t get past the hurdle in her heart.

Aunt Sienna also stood up, supporting herself on the table. "Mrs. Sinclair, Bella was abandoned at the orphanage gate when she was just a few months old. If I hadn’t given her that photo, she wouldn’t have known who her parents were, and you wouldn’t have discovered her identity. What would you have done then?"

If she didn’t know Bella Acker was Ronan Rhodes’ daughter, what would she do?

At first sight, she felt Bella Acker was a straightforward young woman, and her slightly chubby baby face was very endearing. Moreover, Damian liked Bella Acker so much; as a mother, she trusted her son’s judgment.

When she first met Bella Acker, indeed, she liked this little girl very much; if she hadn’t seen the photo, if she didn’t know her identity...

Unfortunately, all those ifs didn’t exist; she already knew Bella Acker’s identity.

Mrs. Sinclair closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them again, saying: "The ifs you speak of don’t exist. If you have no other matters, I’ll be leaving." Saying this, she took Bea’s hand, ready to take her along and leave.

"Mrs. Sinclair, please wait." Aunt Sienna became anxious, suddenly lunging forward to grab Mrs. Sinclair’s arm, and with a thud, she knelt on the ground.

This sudden action startled Mrs. Sinclair and Bea.

Bea was the first to react, immediately trying to help her up, "Aunt Sienna, what are you doing? Get up, please."

Aunt Sienna remained kneeling on the ground, refusing to get up. She held Mrs. Sinclair’s arm and said, "Mrs. Sinclair, I was the one who gave Bella that photo; it was my fault for causing her trouble. Please consider that she knew nothing and grew up in the orphanage, can you, therefore, give her another chance?"

Mrs. Sinclair frowned, "Get up and then we can talk."

Aunt Sienna’s kneeling, even though it was early at the teahouse and there were no other guests, attracted the attention of the waiter.

Mrs. Sinclair’s upbringing made her dislike any inappropriate actions in public.

Aunt Sienna shook her head, "Mrs. Sinclair, Bella was someone I watched grow up; she truly is a good girl. You see me like this, yet she hasn’t abandoned me. Whenever she has a slightly longer break at work, she comes to the hospital to look after me. A girl like that couldn’t possibly have a bad heart. Every time I see her so worn out, I just want to jump out the window of my hospital room. But I can’t, if I died like that Bella would never be at peace. Moreover, seeing her cry nightly over matters of the heart, I couldn’t bring myself to die without worry."
