Chapter 1299 - 1314: Subdue That Bastard
Chapter 1299 - 1314: Subdue That Bastard
He took two steps, then stopped again, turned his head and grinned at the bodyguard. "Oh, and tell them to get some fruit ready. It's boring as hell waiting here. If I get pissed off, I can tear this whole place down in under half an hour."With that, Lin Mu walked into the manor villa with Earth Wolf, both of them chuckling. He glanced around inside—the decor was insanely luxurious. You could tell the Tang Sect's power and boldness were the real deal, not just talk!
Of course, Lin Mu and Earth Wolf didn't stand on ceremony. They sat down, put their feet up on the coffee table. There was fruit on the table, so they just started eating, as casually as if they were at home, not treating themselves like outsiders at all!
After they finished the fruit, the two heavy smokers lit up in the living room, filling the entire place with thick, choking smoke in no time.
After about twenty-something minutes, just short of half an hour, Lin Mu heard a noisy mess of footsteps outside.
Lin Mu smiled. He knew Tang Zhilong must be back.
Right then, the front door of the manor villa opened. The first in were a bunch of bodyguards in black suits and sunglasses—more than a dozen of them pouring in all at once, looking real fierce. Last to come in was a middle‑aged man, also in a suit, but with a very stern expression.
Lin Mu looked at the middle‑aged man walking in and beckoned at him with a grin. "Heh, you're Tang Zhilong, right?"
"Who are you?" Tang Zhilong stared coldly at Lin Mu, expression full of displeasure. In Handan City, there was basically no one who dared act this wild in front of him, so this Lin Mu in front of him really rubbed Tang Zhilong the wrong way.
"Take a guess." Lin Mu smiled arrogantly.
"I don't care who you are. You dare come make trouble at the Tang Sect today, you'd better make everything clear to me. Otherwise, don't even think about walking out of here in one piece." Tang Zhilong said coldly, glaring at Lin Mu.
"Oh yeah? Haha, that's actually kind of fun. I honestly haven't planned on leaving yet anyway." Lin Mu smiled with that same arrogant air.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Lin Mu."
"So it's you?" A chill shot out from Tang Zhilong's eyes. He'd never met Lin Mu in person, but the name was one he couldn't be more familiar with.
"Yup, that's me. Seeing how much you idolize me, I figured I should at least drop by and give you a look." Lin Mu said with a cocky grin.
"You actually dare show your face here? You beat my son up like that and you don't feel even a little scared afterward?" Tang Zhilong clenched his fists, staring at Lin Mu with hatred all over his face.
"Scared? If I was scared, you think I'd still come?" Lin Mu chuckled.
"Heh, you've got some guts." Tang Zhilong suddenly let out a cold laugh, a flash of killing intent in his eyes. Hurting the Tang Sect's third‑generation direct heir—this kid really had a death wish. "Today, I'll make you pay the price."
"Oh? I'm really curious, what kind of price do you think you can make me pay?" Lin Mu shrugged.
"Everything you've done, I'll make you pay back double." Tang Zhilong said icily.
"Yeah? And you actually think you've got what it takes?" Lin Mu didn't care at all, not the slightest bit nervous.
"You'll find out soon enough whether I have what it takes." Tang Zhilong said coldly, then swung his hand down hard.
In an instant, the dozen or so bodyguards in black surrounded Lin Mu. A pack of burly men glared at him like tigers eyeing their prey.
"Heh, don't tell me you're dumb enough to only send this bunch of useless trash?" Lin Mu said with a light smile.
"Lin Mu, you're way too arrogant." Tang Zhilong said coldly.
"Not arrogance—confidence. Earth Wolf, these guys are all yours. Go easy on them, though. If Master Tang can't afford their medical bills, he might come after us for compensation, and I don't have the money to pay them." Lin Mu said with that same arrogant grin.
Earth Wolf rubbed his palms. "Don't worry, Boss. I know what I'm doing. I definitely won't kill them."
"Go!" Tang Zhilong couldn't stand listening to Lin Mu and Earth Wolf taking turns abusing his ears anymore. He gave the order without the slightest hesitation!
At the Tang Sect boss's shout, the group of bodyguards charged at Earth Wolf like madmen. But before they could even get close to him, screams rang out. One crooked figure after another went flying backward.
In the blink of an eye, the dozen black‑clad bodyguards were tossed out by Earth Wolf one after another. With each one he threw, another scream followed.
"Not fun. Not fun at all." Earth Wolf waved his hands in boredom. Clearly this level of strength wasn't nearly enough to satisfy him.
Seeing this, Tang Zhilong couldn't help freezing for a moment. He knew Lin Mu's skills were powerful, but he hadn't expected his subordinate to be this strong as well.
But an old fox is still an old fox. Even now, Tang Zhilong didn't show much on his face, just a flicker of surprise in his eyes. Lin Mu, on the other hand, took out a cigarette, lit it, then got up and walked over to Tang Zhilong with a grin. He patted him on the shoulder. "I came here today to tell you two things. First, I know that mess with the stadium venue was your doing, so you know what you're supposed to do about it. Second, I know the North China Tang Sect is good at business warfare. Sure, your business games have had some impact on our Flying Dragon. But let me give you a bit of advice—you'd better rein it in. If I lose my patience, I'll wipe you people out, and our Flying Dragon will go straight for a blood war with your Tang Sect. You get what I'm saying?"
Tang Zhilong stood there coldly without saying a word, just glaring at Lin Mu.
"Don't look at me with that face. You're not qualified yet. If you piss me off, I can take you out in minutes. Don't think I won't. Killing you would be like crushing an ant to me. So don't think just because your Tang Sect has a bit of filthy money you can strut around like you're untouchable, like I've got no way to deal with you. Truth is, I only need one hand to wipe you all out, and that's that. Don't you think so?" Lin Mu sneered and patted Tang Zhilong's shoulder again. "About the stadium venue, I'll be waiting for your answer. Friendly reminder—don't make me come here a second time."
After Lin Mu finished, he waved his hand and walked out of the Tang Family's manor villa with Earth Wolf. Tang Zhilong still stood there without moving, his clenched fists cracking and popping.
But that very afternoon, Director Yu Zheng got a call from the organizers saying the venue could be opened. It seemed Lin Mu and Earth Wolf's trip that morning had had a very obvious effect. That made Lin Mu very satisfied. With the stadium open, Yu Zheng immediately scheduled the promo event for the next day.
The next morning, tons of fans and media had already gathered at the Handan City indoor stadium. Publicity was all about momentum, after all. The press conference this time drew not only media from all over, but also fans from every part of society.
Of course, the press conference was really to promote the movie "Palace Locks Liancheng." As the last promotional stop in North China, Handan City's push was also the biggest. In just a few days, "Palace Locks Liancheng" would hit major theaters. What Lin Mu valued most, though, was the Flying Dragon Film and Television Base in Wancheng. His goal was to turn the Flying Dragon Film and Television Base into Huaxia Country's Hollywood.
