Chapter 486 Full Transformation
Chapter 486 Full Transformation
The mansion grounds became quiet again but it was not the calm kind of quiet.
It was tense.
Heavy.
The kind that made even the wind feel uncomfortable moving through the air.
Danill stood at the front of the wolves with blood dripping slowly from his claws onto the cracked stone beneath him. Around him lay four vampire corpses scattered across the battlefield in twisted positions while several others dragged themselves backward with deep wounds carved across their bodies.
The vampires had underestimated them badly.
That much was obvious now.
At first they came with the confidence of hunters surrounding weak prey. They thought the few wolves remaining behind would fold quickly under pressure.
Instead they got ripped apart.
Danill slowly rolled his shoulders while keeping his glowing yellow eyes locked on the vampires ahead.
"They know now," one of the wolves muttered beside him.
Danill nodded faintly.
"Yeah."
The vampires knew now.
Wolves were not just oversized dogs with claws.
They were brutal in close combat.
Fast.
Disciplined.
Built for violence.
And unlike vampires who often fought with arrogance, the wolves fought like a unit.
That was why the first wave failed so badly.
But Danill also knew something else.
The next attack would not be careless anymore.
Upstairs Anya still had not let go of Liam.
Not even slightly.
Her fingers were practically glued to his arm now while her wide eyes stayed fixed outside the window.
Every few seconds she blinked hard like maybe this entire thing would suddenly turn normal again if she focused enough.
It never did.
The dead vampires remained scattered outside.
The wolves still had claws and glowing eyes.
And the terrifying part was how casually Liam and Lana watched all of this.
Like this wasn’t horrifying at all.
Anya swallowed nervously.
"So..." she whispered shakily. "This is all real."
Lana glanced at her with amusement.
"What part finally convinced you?"
Anya stared at her in disbelief.
"The guy literally ripped someone’s arm off!"
Lana shrugged casually.
"Fair."
Liam however stayed focused outside.
His expression shifted slightly.
"They’re moving again."
Immediately Anya looked back outside.
This time more vampires stepped forward.
Not ten.
Twenty.
The atmosphere outside changed instantly.
The vampires no longer spread themselves loosely around the mansion grounds. This time they moved with coordination. Their red glowing eyes scanned the wolves carefully while several of them slowly crouched lower like predators preparing to spring.
Danill noticed the difference too.
His jaw tightened slightly.
"They adapted fast."
One of the wolves beside him spat blood onto the ground.
"Good. Makes things more fun."
Danill didn’t smile.
"Stay sharp," he warned quietly. "This group knows what we can do now."
The vampires attacked.
Fast.
Much faster than before.
The moment they moved the entire battlefield exploded into chaos again.
Three vampires rushed from the front while others spread outward at insane speed trying to surround the wolves from multiple directions simultaneously.
Danill reacted immediately.
"Hold the center!"
The wolves shifted into formation instantly.
One vampire launched himself directly toward Danill’s throat with claws extended but Danill ducked underneath the strike and slammed his elbow upward brutally into the vampire’s jaw.
Crunch!
The vampire’s head snapped backward violently.
Before he could recover Danill grabbed his face and drove him headfirst through the hood of a nearby car.
BOOOOM!
Metal bent inward instantly.
At the same time another vampire attacked from Danill’s blindside but one of the wolves intercepted him mid leap and both crashed violently across the ground.
The battlefield split apart quickly after that.
Everywhere claws collided against claws.
Growls mixed with screams.
Stone cracked beneath impacts.
Blood sprayed across the mansion walls.
Upstairs Anya could barely process what she was seeing anymore.
The speed alone was terrifying.
One second someone stood still and the next they were already smashing through concrete or flying across the battlefield.
"How are they moving like that?!" she gasped.
Outside Danill continued dominating the center of the battlefield.
A vampire rushed him low trying to tackle his legs but Danill jumped clean over him and landed directly onto another vampire behind him.
His claws tore straight through the vampire’s chest.
Then he spun immediately and kicked another attacker hard enough to send him crashing through one of the mansion fences.
The wolves still had the upper hand early on.
Their teamwork remained better.
Every time a vampire got isolated two wolves collapsed onto them instantly with brutal efficiency. One wolf tore through a vampire’s shoulder while another ripped directly into his stomach seconds later.
Another vampire lost his arm entirely after getting caught between two flanking wolves.
Bodies kept falling.
But slowly something began changing.
The vampires stopped rushing blindly.
Instead they started forcing longer exchanges.
Dragging fights out.
Targeting weaker openings.
Danill noticed it first.
They were using numbers properly now.
One vampire would engage directly while another attacked from behind seconds later. Then another joined before the wolves could reset positions.
Pressure.
Constant pressure.
The wolves started getting separated more often.
And separated wolves became vulnerable.
One of Danill’s men suddenly grunted painfully after a vampire clawed deeply across his ribs from the side. Blood splashed heavily onto the ground.
Another wolf immediately moved to help him but three vampires intercepted him midway forcing him backward.
Danill growled loudly.
"Stay together!"
But it was getting harder.
Twenty vampires created chaos naturally.
The battlefield became crowded.
Messy.
Dangerous.
One wolf tackled a vampire through a stone pillar only for another vampire to immediately appear behind him and sink claws deep into his back.
The wolf roared in pain.
Danill moved instantly.
He grabbed that vampire by the neck and snapped it violently before kicking another attacker away from his injured pack member.
But the pressure kept increasing.
Upstairs even Lana’s expression became slightly more serious now.
"They’re adjusting well."
Liam nodded slowly.
The vampires finally stopped treating the wolves like simple beasts.
Now they fought carefully.
Smartly.
Anya noticed the shift too even without understanding combat properly.
Earlier the wolves looked overwhelming.
Now the battlefield looked dangerous for everyone.
Her grip on Liam tightened unconsciously again.
Outside Danill slammed another vampire into the ground repeatedly until the skull finally cracked apart completely.
Blood covered his arms now.
His breathing deepened.
But despite how hard he fought he could feel the battle slowly shifting against them.
Not because the vampires were stronger individually.
Because there were simply too many.
One wolf suddenly screamed.
Danill’s head snapped sideways instantly.
A vampire had buried his claws deeply into the wolf’s shoulder while another sank fangs directly into his side at the same time.
"GET OFF HIM!"
Danill exploded forward with monstrous speed.
He ripped one vampire away and tore his throat open instantly but the damage was already done.
The injured wolf stumbled backward heavily bleeding.
Another vampire immediately targeted him seeing weakness.
Then another.
Danill’s eyes widened slightly.
"They’re focusing injured targets."
Smart.
Very smart.
The vampires were learning rapidly.
A second wolf got overwhelmed moments later after four vampires collapsed onto him simultaneously. Even though he tore one apart brutally the others managed to slash deep across his legs and chest before he escaped.
The wolves started losing ground.
Slowly.
Painfully.
Every minute dragged more exhaustion into their bodies while the vampires kept cycling attackers constantly.
Danill smashed another vampire across the face and finally roared loudly.
"Fall back toward the stairs!"
The wolves obeyed instantly.
Even injured ones.
They regrouped closer to the mansion entrance now where the narrower positioning made it harder for the vampires to fully surround them.
That helped immediately.
One vampire rushed too aggressively and got torn apart by three wolves together before he even reached the stairs.
But even then the pressure didn’t stop.
The vampires attacked relentlessly now.
One after another.
Then two together.
Then five at once.
Anya watched in horror as one wolf got slammed directly through part of the mansion railing.
"Oh my God..."
Her voice shook badly now.
This no longer looked controlled.
It looked brutal.
One of the wolves suddenly collapsed to one knee after deep claw marks ripped across his stomach.
Another vampire instantly lunged toward his throat.
Danill intercepted him barely in time.
His claws pierced through the vampire’s skull completely.
But while doing that another attacker slammed hard into Danill from behind sending him skidding violently across the stone ground.
The vampires pressed harder immediately.
They sensed weakness now.
Blood covered the battlefield heavily.
Broken stone.
Destroyed cars.
Bodies everywhere.
The remaining wolves fought viciously but exhaustion was finally showing clearly in their movements.
Three wolves were now badly injured.
One could barely stand properly anymore.
Another’s arm hung unnaturally from his side while blood poured down his torso.
The youngest wolf had deep bite marks torn across his neck and shoulder.
Danill looked at them and something inside him snapped slightly.
His breathing deepened heavily.
The wolves were getting overwhelmed.
Not because they lacked strength.
Because they were holding back.
Still trapped in partial transformation.
Still trying to preserve stamina.
Still trying to stay controlled.
Meanwhile the vampires had stopped playing entirely.
A vampire suddenly smiled mockingly through blood while staring at Danill.
"You dogs are slowing down."
That did it.
Danill’s yellow eyes flared brighter instantly.
A low growl escaped his chest.
Not human anymore.
Animal.
Pure animal.
The remaining wolves looked toward him immediately.
They felt it too.
The shift in his presence.
The air itself suddenly felt heavier around him.
Danill slowly straightened to his full height while blood dripped steadily from his claws.
His breathing became deeper.
Slower.
More dangerous.
Then he looked at his injured pack members again.
And rage finally fully settled into his eyes.
When he spoke this time his voice sounded rougher.
More beast than man.
"Full transformation everyone."
