Chapter 556:Stop And Retreat
Chapter 556:Stop And Retreat
"Yes… it might be nearly a decade…"
Excitement spread among the soldiers, and their morale surged instantly as their intent boiled again.
Ray stood calmly, and his presence alone steadied the battlefield while his reputation as a demon slayer still carried weight.
Just then, a clicking sound echoed nearby.
"Tsk… tsk… why are you always doing high-profile entries, brother? Now that you are here, no one is going to li—"
Before he could finish his sentence, another scream tore through the air.
"Young Master Herion!"
"Oh my god, even the lazy young master has come today…"
"Yeah… finally…"
Hearing the cheers, Herion paused and looked back at the crowd, and his lips twitched slightly.
"Are we here for fighting or entertaining you? Also, what's up with this reaction?" he asked with a hint of annoyance.
"It's because it has been a long time since you appeared!" someone shouted back.
BOOOOM!
The ground shook again as another figure descended heavily, and the impact sent snow and dust flying around.
"Oh… Le—THE FUCK!" Herion shouted as he took a few steps back in shock.
As the dust cleared, the figure became visible, and what he saw made his expression freeze.
Leon.
The first son of Lia
He used to be small and quite popular among them because of his tail, and Herion even liked to tease him because he looked cute.
But now there was nothing cute left.
The man standing there was huge, and his height towered over them.
"Just how tall are you?" Herion shouted, and his eyes widened.
Even Herion, who stood at around 1.85 meters, barely reached above Leon's waist.
Even Ray looked surprised, because the last time they met, Leon had only reached his chest, but now the difference was overwhelming.
"Hahaha…" Leon rubbed his head with a faint blush.
"It might be because of puberty," he said casually.
SWISH!
A dark shadow passed overhead, and a massive Wyvern descended with a chilling aura, and its wings spread wide as it landed heavily.
On top of it sat a black-haired man, and his gaze swept across the battlefield calmly.
"Brothers… if you have finished your introductions, can we fight now?" he said.
Herion coughed lightly and pulled out his sword.
"Yeah… let's go," he replied.
He grinned slightly, and his eyes carried a dangerous excitement.
"It has been a while since I tasted blood… kekeke!"
The moment they stepped onto the battlefield, the situation began to shift, and the presence of Ethan's sons brought a sudden surge of pressure that the enemy could not ignore.
Ray moved first, and his figure flashed forward while his sword cut through the air with clean and sharp movements, and every swing carried weight as it sliced apart the enemies in front of him. He did not waste motion, and his attacks were direct and domineering while the snow beneath his feet scattered with each step.
SWISH!
A clean arc passed through a group of Beastmen, and their bodies were cut down before they could react.
Ray did not stop, and he moved again while pushing deeper into the enemy line and breaking their formation with sheer force.
On the other side, Herion moved differently, and his posture looked relaxed while his steps were light and almost careless, but his eyes remained sharp.
He tilted his body slightly and avoided an incoming strike as if he had seen it before it came, and then he stepped forward lazily while his blade slipped through a gap in the enemy's defense.
CLANG!
The enemy's weapon was pushed aside, and Herion's sword followed through and struck at the weak point.
"Too slow," he muttered.
Another attack came toward him, and he leaned back slightly while dodging it with ease, and then he moved again and struck without urgency but with precision.
His style looked loose, almost like a drunk man moving without balance, but every motion had purpose, and every strike landed where it hurt the most.
Meanwhile, Leon did not bother with such methods.
He stepped forward like a storm, and his body carried raw strength while his fists moved with brutal force.
BOOOOM!
A punch landed on a Beastman, and the impact slammed him into the ground while the snow around them exploded outward.
Leon did not stop, and he grabbed another one and threw him aside before stepping forward again and smashing through the line.
His strength was overwhelming, and even though he was only at King Realm, his dense body and natural power allowed him to break through the enemy with sheer force.
One of the Beastmen looked at him and suddenly froze before shouting angrily.
"Traitor! As a Beastman, don't you have any shame fighting for humans instead of us?" he roared.
"How dare you?"
Leon paused for a brief moment, and then without saying much, he drove his fist straight into the man's face.
BOOOOM!
The Beastman was slammed brutally into the ground, and cracks spread beneath him while blood splashed across the snow.
"The hell are you on about?" Leon said.
"I am fighting for my father," he added calmly.
He shoved the man aside and then looked toward Wales, who was cutting his way through the enemy forces nearby.
"Just where did this idiot come from?" Leon asked.
Wales did not answer directly, and he simply shook his head while continuing to move forward.
He raised his hand slightly and gave a signal.
"All high-tier knights, march," he said.
"We have the momentum, so let's crush them brutally."
The pressure on the battlefield shifted again, and the allied forces began to falter as Frostvale's side pushed forward.
Ray cut down another group while stepping ahead, and Herion moved beside him while deflecting attacks and striking back at the right moments, and Leon followed by smashing through anything that stood in their way.
It looked like they were about to break through completely.
Then a loud voice echoed from the communicator.
"Stop and retreat back."
The three paused instantly, and the momentum broke for a moment as they processed the command.
Ray turned his head slightly and frowned.
"But mother…" he said.
The voice came again, calm but firm.
"Ray, retreat first. We will talk later."
Ray stayed silent for a brief moment, and then he nodded.
"Okay, mother," he replied.
There was no argument after that.
